Here is a fun craft for kids involving stickers (who doesn’ t love stickers?) that reinforces the teaching from Genesis 1 about what God created on each of the six days of creation.
How to make a Days of Creation Box:
1. Print a folded box outline on cardstock
To start, make your own foldable box template, or find a free printable version online. I used this one from A to Z teacher stuff.
2. Cut out the box shape
Older grade school kids on up will be able to cut the box themselves, but you will need to pre-cut the shape for younger children. Also, if time is an issue, having the shapes cut out in advance allows the children more time for the fun stuff–Stickers!
3. Assemble the creation box
To assemble the box, the cut-out shape must be folded on all of the dotted lines so that the folds are bringing the sides in towards each other. The tabs are also folded in. I found it easier to do all of the folding first. Then the tabs are tucked under the sides where they connect, and adhered with either tape or glue dots. Traditional school glue or glue sticks took too long to dry, and it was hard to hold the box together while it dried.
4. Add large number stickers to each side of the creation box
Each side of the box gets a number, 1-6 to correspond to the Genesis day of creation. I found these very cool number stickers (from Tyndale) that are already printed with the things created on that day. You can purchase them from Amazon and Christianbook.com, among other places. Aren’t they cool?
5. Add stickers!
Allow the children to add stickers to each side of the box. They match the sticker to the day it was created. For example, day 4 could have sun moon and stars stickers. Since People stickers can be hard to find for day 6, you can use smiley face stickers to represent mankind. Day 1 is difficult to find stickers for. I let the kids color one half of the square dark to represent dark and light. Any other ideas?
The Biblical fact that God created the earth and everything in it is so important. I hope you can use this days of creation box as a fun way to teach this truth to your children.

This is so cute. My youngest so enjoys rolling dice, he would totally get a kick out of this!
If you are only making one at home, you could look for a sturdier box, then he could roll it as much as he wants, without denting or crushing the box.
